Thanks to DMIC second home in smart cities is now a reality

Times are changing and so is the landscape. The developments of new industrial cities that are now classified under ‘smart cities’ are the latest and most ambitious in the development sector in India. As part of this venture work an employment is being generated in the areas where these cities will come up. The DMIC or Delhi Mumbai Industrial corridor is already a huge hub for many small and large-scale industries in Maharastra. Situated in close proximity to the JN Port, it is now being seen as a perfect location where individuals can build low cost second homes. This is an advantage to those who live in Mumbai and its surrounding areas. What should you know about the latest development in this region?

Importance of DMIC gathers steam

Changing of infrastructure is one of the most important reasons where industries have been able to set up base in the costal zone in Maharastra. The idea is to make it a global trading hub. The process has already started with many big and small industries doing business here. The infrastructure is likely to help the power plants, regular water supply, availability of logistics facilities and a huge amount of employment opportunities for everyone. Already 7 new industrial cities are earmarked to begin in the 1st phase it self. The entire work is being done by an Indo-Jap venture. Nearly 24 smart cities are likely to come up. It will also have a very high-speed freight line and about 6 airports will be built as part of the plan. The entire project will encompass the states of Maharastra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Roads and highways will be rebuilt and connectivity to metros will be improved. The green cities will have enough power and 24 hour water supply. This is an excellent time also to look for property in and around the region.
